COMPANY REVIEW-The Pure Pantry

The Pure Pantry offers mixes that are not only delicious, but good for you, serving as proof that gluten-free, dairy-free, casein-free, soy-free, and even sugar-free don’t equal taste-free—quite the contrary!
The Pure Pantry offers a variety of mixes for gluten-free cookies, cakes, and pancakes, and even an all-purpose mix for creating other baked goods such as biscuits, muffins, and breads. The mixes are also versatile. We added tons of nuts to the Old Fashioned Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix, and we loved them. They were not only delicious, but so healthy tasting.
Other mixes include Wholegrain Chocolate Chip Coconut Organic Cookie Mix, Buckwheat Flax Pancake and Baking Mix, Organic Sugar Cookie Mix, and the decadent Wholegrain Dark Chocolate Cake Mix, oh so chocolately and full of good-for-you nutrients including protein, antioxidants, and protein from ingredients such as quinoa. The Organic All-Purpose Baking Mix is vegan and free of gluten, sugar, dairy, and casein and remarkable for its versatility. It’s even kosher!

PRODUCT REVIEW-FoodSaver Jar Sealer

In an economy where money is tight, it’s important to stretch the dollar further. This FoodSaver Jar Sealer is the perfect way to accomplish this, as it vacuum seals Mason jars shut. This offers excellent protection from freezer burn and food spoilage and works wonders on dry foods and liquids. In fact, it has been studied that vacuum sealing foods preserves them 3 to 5 times longer than storing them in plastic containers. The jar sealer fits wide-mouthed Mason jars and can also be used with any corresponding FoodSaver machines that have accessory ports. It’s simple to use and affordable.

PRODUCT REVIEW-Secura Convection Oven

The Secura Convection Oven is the perfect way to cook foods without having to heat up the oven or cook with oils and fats. It saves energy and reduces time spent cooking, which are great advantages for the modern-day family. This convection oven prides itself on cooking up meats without using fat or oil, as it makes the meats super tender and filled with flavor. The countertop convection oven is also easy to clean, has a detachable power cord and a handle safety button. At first glance, you may be wondering why a convection oven is necessary in the first place. I was, too. But by not having to turn on your oven, you save energy and cook faster.

WEBSITE REVIEW-www.hulu.com

When A-LIST went to  www.hulu.com  we were pleasantly surprised.  This site has movies and television shows from many popular channels, all available to view for free.  With standard Hulu the last five episodes of many shows are free to watch on your computer, but for HuluPlus, the viewer has the ability to watch on a PC, TV, mobile phone, or a tablet.  There is limited viewing until you set up an account, which is free and takes only seconds.  The HuluPlus service currently costs $7.99 a month.
The main page of this site has a rotating screen on top with images of different things available to watch.  On the top menu are Browse, Most Popular, Recently Added, Spotlight, and Recommendations.  The Browse category is broken down in to TV Shows, Movies, Trailers, By Genre, Playlists, and Coming Soon.
The bottom half of the site has pictures of things you may want to watch and listings of Popular Shows and Popular Movies.  The bottom of the page has recommendations from Hulu.  Overall, A-LIST likes how the main landing page looks.  It’s not too busy or cluttered, and has a clean, fresh feel to it.
Under the Spotlight category, Website Review found Hulu’s blog.  Although written by different authors, many of the blogs are laugh out loud funny.  They cover celebrities, TV shows, music, movies, and all things relating to Hulu.  From the blog page there are links on the right to connect to Hulu through social networking.  There are also RSS Feeds, which include Recently Added Shows and Movies as well as Most Popular Videos of the day.  If you go to the Most Popular Videos you can browse them and add them to your queue.

A-LIST is glad we found  www.hulu.com.  It’s a great place to see any shows you’ve recently missed, or if you’re looking for complete seasons, the pricing seems very reasonable.
